What is a Patient Participation Group?
A patient Participation group (PPG) is a group of patients interested in health and healthcare issues, who want to get involved with the support of their local GP practice. Patients who also wish to give feedback on services provided by the GP practice as well as to suggest improvements.
Who can get involved?
We would like to ensure that all patients are represented – including young people, parents with young children, parents with teenagers, patients aged 45-65 and patients aged over 65, carers and patients with a disability or a chronic disease. We are keen to involve our patients in the development of services and care at Paddock & Longwood Family Practice therefore we would like to invite any patient who wishes to attend meetings and help us continue to provide the highest standards of patient care and services to complete the application form we have provided in our reception area or register your interest online here.
Whats the aim of the Patient Participation Group?
The groups aim will be to act as a forum to provide feedback to the practice. Suggestions for improvement to services, exchanging of ideas to improve our patients experience and discussions regarding new patient services will all contribute to ensuring we provide the best possible service for our patients.
*Please note these groups are NOT intended for individual patient’s personal medical problems. The practice will ensure that members details are held securely and not used for any other purpose than described above.
